In order to understand the development of research in autonomous driving in the last years, it is important to conduct a literature review to understand the different fields of application through which autonomous driving has evolved as well as to identify research gaps.

Innovation Mining ist eine Web Monitoring Technologie, die eine Grundherausforderung der Innovationsentwicklung adressiert. Wie kann man das Know-how in den Entwicklungsabteilungen F&E-intensiver Branchen konsequenter an den Bedürfnissen und Anforderungen der End-User ausrichten? Aufwändige Entwicklungen treffen häufig Kundenbedürfnisse nicht optimal, da Produzent und Endabnehmer jeweils am anderen Ende einer langen Wertschöpfungskette stehen. Anhand eines Beispiels aus der Chemieindustrie wird aufgezeigt, wie Userbeiträge im Social Web systematisch ausgewertet werden können, um bisher unerkannte Anwenderprobleme mit der Produktlösungskompetenz der Entwickler zu koppeln. Das Motto lautet „Technologie sucht neue Anwendung im User Web“. Innovation Mining schließt hierbei eine Lücke im vorherrschenden Methodenmix der Marktforschung für Innovation.
